Recently, NAMI hosted Hobbies for Healing at the Beaver Valley Church of God. We had several vendors available with toys, hobbies, crafts, and art that were available to discuss their businesses as well as sell items to bring people a little slice of happiness from their childhoods, potential new hobbies, or to learn more about starting crafts or a collection. We also had community partners available to discuss their much-needed services. A big thank you to the Women’s Center of Beaver County for brightening our day and to Community Alternatives for helping with selling tickets for raffles & food. Our own David Aitken was on hand with various train-related items and a quick wit as usual! A big thank you to Pastor Jim Huselton and the individuals associated with the Beaver Valley Church of God for hosting us that day. Their hospitality and generosity are always so special, and we look forward to further collaboration with them in the future!
Hobbies are a positive form of self-care. Please consider checking out small businesses and learning more about crafting, art, and the cathartic nature of collecting something fun as you navigate this holiday season!

Merry Christmas from your friends at NAMI Beaver County.
Remember that there is hope for everyone and people who will listen. Please contact us for our support groups or call 988 if you are in crisis.
